MODULE 1 - Foundations
In this module, we walk through some basic foundations of audio and sound so you can build your confidence as a well-rounded filmmaker. 3 videos on Signal Flow, Gain Structure, Audio Levels, & Redundancy

MODULE 2 - The Gear
In this module, we cover our audio kit in detail so you have full confidence and knowledge of what gear you are bringing with you on a wedding day. 6 videos on the must have audio kit, Tascam DR-10L setup, Tascam DR-10x setup, Tascam DR-40 setup, backup recorder setup, cables & adapters, audio monitoring and hearing protection.

MODULE 3 - Pre-Ceremony & Ceremony Audio
In this module, we cover our pre-ceremony and ceremony audio setup, what pieces of our kit we primarily use, how we set up redundancy and ways to pivot when situations arise. 2 videos on ceremony audio setup, pre-ceremony setup, and first look setup.

Reception audio isn't that different from ceremony audio. It's just a bit more involved with communication. We'll teach you how to effectively communicate what you need from sound providers in this module. 2 videos on reception audio setup and best practices.

In this module, we walk through the process of transfer, back up, organize, and set up for Post Production Success in Final Cut Pro X and Premiere. 3 videos on post production setup, metadata and sync, platform differences.

MODULE 6 - Equalization & The Audio Spectrum
Once you have captured your audio with great gain structure what do we do next? In this module, we walk through the basics of audio equalization or more commonly called EQ. It’s likely one of the most common, if not the most used tool to manipulate audio. 3 videos on equalization and the audio spectrum, EQ parameters, and EQ demonstration.

The goal of this course is not to simply give you presets, but to provide knowledge AND tools so that you're effective and correctly processing audio so your film narrative is supported. Presets only get you so far which is why this course exists.

Elaine is an Emmy Award winning technician and honor graduate of the esteemed Berklee College of Music where she graduated with a dual degree in Music Production & Engineering and Music Business/Management. She began studying classical piano at age five and her love for the arts and music has been the foundation of her career since. From working with Grammy winning artists on major record labels, to designing audio for world renown theme parks and cruise lines, she’s an immensely talented and accomplished engineer and storyteller. Elaine is KEJ’s primary editor and brings with her an incredible aptitude to craft stories with feeling, meticulous detail, and intention. She is an empath at heart and it is not at all unusual for her to share laughs, exclamations, and happy tears with her brides and grooms throughout the wedding day. Truly a one-of-a-kind artist, you will be hard pressed to find a talent like hers anywhere else.

They say Lubbock or leave it… well, Kaleb left it. Finding himself in Orlando, FL at the fresh age of 17, this young musician discovered he loved making music sound beautiful just as much as he loved playing it. Kaleb’s career has been anything but one-dimensional. He has had the honor of working with artists such as Garth Brooks, Tricia Yearwood, Lady Antebellum, Willie Nelson, Marcus Miller, David Sanborn, Pink, to name a few, as well as having traveled internationally to work on shows such as the MTV European Music Awards in Belfast and a USO Tour through the Middle East and Africa. If you’re wondering how he has managed to accomplish so much in so little time, we’d say it’s due to his incredible work ethic and trailblazing optimism. Kaleb is the adventure in KEJ. He is the epitome of a creative director and is constantly looking to push our team into new avenues of storytelling.
